XVII Congress

Call for Papers

The XVII Congress of the Latin American Diabetes Association is presented as an opportunity to meet Latin American professionals concerned about diabetes and its complications in order to exchange and assess the progress of the region in the area of research, clinical experiences and scientific performance in the fight against this disease and its consequences in this 21st century. 

Issues such as diabetes and its increase in Latin America will be addressed, including aspects related to diabetic foot, acute and chronic metabolic decompensation, gestational diabetes, dyslipidemias as well as the use of old and new molecules in people with diabetes and the best evidence for its use in different types of population.

The main theme of this XVII Congress of the Latin American Diabetes Association that organizes its Executive Committee in coordination with the Organizing Committee of the Congress, will be the prevention, research advances and perspectives of treatment that relate to Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases as the main cause of global morbi-mortality. The Congress will become the ideal academic space where the ALAD will announce its most important Consensus, Guides and academic positions. 

The presentation of clinical cases and institutional research will be welcomed to the National Scientific Committee chaired by Dr. Yulino Castillo and the international by Dr. Juan Jose Gagliardino, both professionals with wide and recognized academic and research trajectory.

A fraternal, multi-ethnic and multicultural encounter that will strengthen Latin American unity and facilitate the exchange of experiences and new work ideas.
