About VII REDLAS Conference

UNCTAD Global Services Forum on “Knowledge-based services for the diversification of production and trade”. This forum will bring together representatives from government, international organizations, the private sector and academia to discuss different topics around this central theme. The event it is co-organized by the Argentine government, the University of Buenos Aires, ECLAC and the Latin American Network for Services Research (REDLAS).

Call for Papers

Researchers are invited to send an abstract of a paper with an extension of no more than 3 pages indicating the objectives, methodology, main expected results and conclusions. The organizers encourage submitting papers on, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Determinants and competitive positioning in the services sectors
  • Latin America in global value chains in services
  • Clusters of knowledge-based services
  • Human capital in the service sectors
  • Innovation in the service sectors: digital commerce and automation
  • Public policies for the service sector
  • The impact of multilateral agreements and free trade agreements
  • Measurement and classification of trade in services

To be presented at this meeting, papers has to be submitted before 1 June to redlas.argentina@gmail.com

The organizers will pay the accommodation and meals for all selected authors. Moreover, air tickets will be pay for the authors of the 5 best papers.
