The 4th IDM Biennial International Research Conference will be held on 23rd -25th June 2020, hosted by the Institute of Development Management Botswana Campus in Gaborone Botswana. Themed ‘Knowledge Based Economy: Insights, Opportunities and Challenges’, the purpose of the conference is to provide a platform for researchers and policy makers in the disciplines of health, business and information management, human resource and organizational development, education and training to engage in their fields, bring out insights, opportunities and challenges in SADC and beyond to propel research agenda towards a knowledge-based economy.

Call for Papers

IDM is delighted to announce the Call for Papers for the 4th Biennial International Research Conference under the theme: KNOWLEDGE BASED ECONOMY: INSIGHTS, OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES. . This landmark occasion will bring together scholars, practitioners and research students to stimulate discussion on the knowledge-based economy philosophy, connect and share recent research findings in their varied fields in that context  and share cutting-edge experiences and best practices in education, training, research and consultancy. The subthemes includes  global health issues, Business and Information Resource Management, Human Resources and Organisational development, education management and leadership.The purpose of the conference is to provide a platform for researchers and policy makers in the disciplines of health, business and information management, human resource and organizational development, education and training to engage in their fields, bring out insights, opportunities and challenges in SADC and beyond to propel research agenda towards a knowledge-based economy.

Previous IDM Research Conferences 

The 1st IDM Biennial research conference was held in Botswana in 2013 under the theme: ‘Emerging issues in training, research and consultancy in the 21st century’. The 2nd Biennial IDM Research Conference themed:  ‘Training, Research and Consultancy Pillars for Knowledge and Sustainable Economy’ followed in Lesotho in 2015. The most recent ans 3rd one was in held in 2017 in Eswatini under the theme:  ‘Growing Great Minds: Global Competitiveness through Training, Research and Consultancy’. Botswana takes the lead once more in the cycle with the upcoming conference.
