Call for Papers

The Texas Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (TAJIT) is holding its annual conference in tandem with the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf (TSID) in College Station, July 11 & 12, 2020. This partnership furthers TAJIT’s commitment to excellence in the field for all interpreting and translation professionals in the State of Texas. If you would like to present during TAJIT’s 2020 Annual Conference, please submit a proposal by email in a Word or PDF attachment to info@tajit.org with the following information:

  • (1)Your full name, mailing address, contact telephone number(s) and email;
  • (2)Your language combinations and professional credentials;
  • (3)The proposed title for your presentation and a 250-word summary of the contents. Please specify if your presentation is language-specific or English-only, and whether the intended audience level is basic, intermediate or advanced.

The TAJIT Conference Committee will receive proposals until January 17 and will let you know by January 31 whether your proposal has been accepted. If your proposal is accepted, you will receive further instructions on the specifics of your presentation so it may be submitted for continuing education credit approval.
