Call for Papers

Through the years, we found that the subject of this workshop, drilling and completion optimisation, attracts the attention of several professionals in the oil and gas industry. The massive investment required to drill a well in deepwater urges decision-makers to spend more time investigating cost optimisation. Average costs vary widely between different types of drilling rigs, well equipment and material used for well construction. Drilling and completion costs represent a very large capital expenditure for oil and gas producers. The cost of drilling a well in deepwater ranges from $20 million to as high as $1 billion. 

In our opinion, technology is the keyword for optimisation. In this workshop, we seek the active contributions from industry stakeholders, operators, contractors, equipment manufacturers, etc. We also welcome the participation of professionals in the industry, either inventors or technology users. The agenda designed by the committee, covers a wide range of activities related to the topic of this workshop. The sessions will include detailed technical discussions addressing the day-to-day work of concerned engineers and scientists.
