About POS WORKSHOPS

Cicely Saunders Institute at King’s College London is pleased to invite you to POS Workshops 2019. Each year this event brings together professionals in palliative care where they have the opportunity to hear about innovative approaches and latest developments, essentials of administration, integration, scoring, validation, data capture and interpretation with POS family of measures. Please note that the event is for all professionals with an interest in palliative and end of life care. This meeting is a great opportunity to share your innovations and learn from others.

Call for Papers

This year’s event includes a number of presentation sessions, where you and your team will have the opportunity to present your work.  We welcome abstract submissions on your work related to the application and validation of POS family of measures in clinical or research settings.  Please note that the final deadline for abstract submission is 26 November, 2018.  Presenters will be notified via email of abstract status latest by Friday, December 14, 2018.  The link to guidelines and abstract submission forms can be found here:  https://pos-pal.org/maix/call-for-abstracts.php.  

Guidelines:

  • The abstract should be submitted using the abstract submission form (https://pos-pal.org/doc18/Abstract_Submission_Form.docx) and the completed form should be e-mailed to palliativecare@pos-pal.org no later than 26th of November 2018. Decisions will be sent to authors latest by 14th of December 2018.
  • Abstracts should be in English
  • Once the abstract submission form has been submitted, the corresponding author will automatically receive an e-mail acknowledgement of receipt. Please note that the correspondence regarding the abstracts such as confirmation of submission, notification of acceptance or rejection and instructions for presentation will only be e-mailed the presenting author indicated in the abstract submission form. Please note that it is the responsibility of the presenting author to forward this information to all co-authors. Please e-mail us palliativecare@pos-pal.org if the notification e-mail has not reached you by December 14th.
