Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues, The International Conference on Computational Science (ICCS) is celebrating its 20th edition next year in the beautiful city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 3-5 June.

We are working diligently to make this a very special and unique event. Have a look at some ICCS quick facts:

----------------------------------  ICCS Quick Facts ---------------------------------

[1] ICCS proceedings will be published in the Springer's LNCS and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several others.

[2] 23 thematic tracks confirmed, covering a broad variety of topics: https://www.iccs-meeting.org/i...

[3] Four world-renowned keynote speakers are already confirmed:  https://www.iccs-meeting.org/i... - Albert-László Barabási, Northeastern University, USA - Lorena Barba, George Washington University, USA - Peter Hunter, The University of Auckland, New Zealand - Marten Scheffer, SparcS Center, The Netherlands

Please read below for all the details. We will be thankful if you forward this call to your colleagues.

---------------------------------- Call for papers ----------------------------------

The International Conference on Computational Science - ICCS 2020 - is now inviting submissions reporting original, unpublished research and recent developments in Computational Sciences by 7 February 2020. https://easychair.org/conferen...

All accepted papers will be included in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several other indexing services. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers. After the conference, selected papers will be invited for a special issue of the Journal of Computational Science (Impact Factor: 2.502 http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-computational-science).

The ICCS conference is the prime annual event in Computational Science. This interdisciplinary conference on modelling and simulation of real-world phenomena will draw academic and industry leaders from all relevant fields. ICCS intends to provide a forum to disseminate world-leading research in the field of (scientific) Computational Science and in particular to highlight the role which modelling and simulation plays in future scientific discovery.

ICCS 2020 invites original contributions on all topics related to Computational Science, including, but not limited to:

* Scientific Computing * Problem Solving Environments * Advanced Numerical Algorithms * Complex Systems: Modeling and Simulation * Hybrid Computational Methods * Web- and Grid-based Simulation and Computing * Parallel and Distributed Computing * Advanced Computing Architectures and New Programming Models * Visualization and Virtual Reality as Applied to Computational Science * Applications of Computation as a Scientific Paradigm * New Algorithmic Approaches to Computational Kernels and Applications * Computational Humanities * Education in Computational Science * Large Scale Scientific Instruments * Computational Sociology * Medical and Biomedical Computational Science * Computational Physics

ICCS is an A-rank conference in the CORE classification.

----------------------------------  Paper Types and Publications ----------------------------------

Papers of up to 14 pages, written in English and complying with the Springer LNCS format, should be submitted electronically through the EasyChair submission system: https://easychair.org/conferen... Templates are available for download in the EasyChair menu, in the "New submission" mode.

You are welcome to participate in one of the thematic tracks or in the Main Track (if your topic does not fit any particular, thematic track but still falls within the scope of the conference). During submission, you may select either a "Full/Short Paper" or a "Abstract Only" publication. By default, it will be an oral presentation. If you prefer to present a poster, please check the "Poster Presentation" option in the submission page.

While we encourage full paper submissions, the "Abstract Only" option caters to researchers who can only publish in specific journals or work for companies in circumstances such that they cannot publish at all, but still want to present their work and discuss it with their peers at ICCS. In the "Abstract Only" option, a short abstract is published in a book of abstracts, but not in LNCS.

Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. Papers must be based on unpublished original work and must be submitted to ICCS only.

---------------------------------- Important Dates ----------------------------------

Paper submission deadline: 7 February 2020 (expired)

Notification of acceptance: 12 March 2020
