About ICAP

The International Conference on Applied Psychology – ICAP, to be held in Funchal, Madeira Island, July 9th to 12th, 2018, organised by the Institute of Knowledge and Development, the University of Madeira and the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute jointly. Contributions are welcome in both theoretical developments and practical implementations in all areas involving Applied Psychology. Between all contributions presented, two will be selected to receive a best paper award. More information in the call for papers. ICAP will provide an excellent opportunity for presenting new results and to discuss the latest research and developments in the field.

Call for Papers

INVITATION

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the International Conference on Applied Psychology – ICAP, to be held in Funchal, Madeira Island, July 9th to 12th, 2018,organised by the Institute of Knowledge and Development, the University of Madeira and the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute jointly. 

Contributions are welcome in both theoretical developments and practical implementations in all areas involving Applied Psychology. Between all contributions presented, two will be selected to receive a best paper award. More information in the call for papers. ICAP will provide an excellent opportunity for presenting new results and to discuss the latest research and developments in the field.

Participation of young researchers is strongly encouraged. A reduced registration fee will be available for students. The conference is intended as an international forum where an effective exchange of knowledge and experience amongst researchers active in various theoretical and applied areas can take place.

Participation of researchers from academia and industry is particularly welcome. The program will include also considerable space for promoting new applications and developments, real-world challenges and success stories.

Conference Topics:

Submitted papers will be peer reviewed by a minimum of 2 reviewers holding a PhD with expertise in the submission topics.

The Call for Papers is open for presenting work (research, practical intervention or projects) that show practical application of Psychology and its relation with other sciences in a approach to current issues. The conference seeks to foster experience exchange between professionals from different areas and it will be composed of panels to connect this heterogeneity in the different knowledge areas of Psychology application.

The proposed topics are focused in multidisciplinary approaches where Psychology is included.

Papers are invited in all areas of Applied Psychology and Human Behavior including (but not limited to) the following areas:

Aging and quality of life;

Child abuse and neglect;

Communities and sustainable development;

Conflict management between groups;

Cultural diversity;

Digital Technology and well being;

Education through life-course;

Entrepreneurship;

Family Violence;

Health through life-course;

Mental Health and quality of life;
