The Research Seminars on History and Maritime Archeology, organized by the University of Cádiz, are born with the vocation of becoming an international reference framework for young researchers. Archaeological gis, Classical archaeology, Historical archaeology, Landscape archaeology, Medieval archaeology, Applied archaeology, · archaeology and history, Maritime heritage, Digital archaeology

Call for Papers

This year the meeting will be held under the title "The Maritime Landscape and Coastal Societies", and will include posters and communications related to the maritime territory and its landscape, the influence of the sea on the development of coastal cities and the development of societies that inhabit these spaces, the sea as a space of circulation, travelers and explorers in the context of Iberian globalization, archeology and architecture of ports, and experiences in the conservation and dissemination of maritime and underwater heritage, among others.

The collaboration between the NOVA University of Lisbon and the University of Cádiz offers in this edition a particularly enriching opportunity to share research and problems common to the Atlantic and Iberian areas; however, and as always, all those works related to the title of this edition are welcome, regardless of the geographical scope and the chronology to which they are assigned.

The scientific meeting will be held in the form of presentations, preceded by a keynote in each session offered by an international specialist. Each session will be structured in 15-minute communications organized chronologically.

The languages of celebration of the event will be English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Participation is open to doctoral students and young researchers of any nationality.
