About GSC2019

The Guelph Sexuality Conference is recognized as Canada's leading, annual training and education forum for sexual health professionals. In our busy social media world, we often forget the importance of being in a live face-to-face-setting with others from the sexual health field. Join other professionals, practitioners and researchers including medical and public health professionals, community service providers, health and sexuality educators, teachers, therapists, counselors, and clergy (just to name a few).

Topics

Redefining relationships and sexual health

Call for Papers

Relationships have never been more important than they are right now. Amidst global and local challenges, we recognize the immense value of connection. As we do the important work of nurturing relationships and insisting upon the value of sexual health, we are also discovering new ways of defining both of those ideas. This year, the Guelph Sexuality Conference is giving new voice to redefining relationships and sexual health. We are also redefining our conference to offer you new ways to learn, connect, and improve the way you work.

We invite you to take a stand to ensure that sexual and relational health stay a priority! Be a part of our 41st Annual Guelph Sexuality Conference by submitting your proposal.  This year we are seeking three types of proposals:

  1. Full-Day Applied Trainings: Experienced presenters with deep, applied content that will change how attendees navigate social, political, and professional systems.
  2. Concurrent Workshops: Concise, thought provoking presentations of just over an hour that encourage attendees to consider new ideas, practices, and research.
  3.  Research & Program Briefs: 5- or 15-minute presentations to share exciting information that will spark interest and inspire new areas of exploration for attendees.

Share your innovative work, research and activism that explore the theme “Redefining Relationships and Sexual Health” by submitting a proposal for one of our five themes:

  • New Ideas in Applied Practice
  • Decolonizing Sex & Sexuality
  • Health and Sexually Transmitted Infections
  • Research Implications and Applications
  • Social Justice
