The Concept of Green Architecture, also known as “sustainable architecture” or “green building,” or “energy architecture” is the theory, science and style of buildings designed and constructed in accordance with environmentally friendly principles

Definition: Green Infrastructure is the interconnected network of natural areas including some agricultural land, such as greenways, wetlands, parks, forest preserves and native plant communities, and marine areas that naturally regulate storm flows, temperatures, flooding risk, and water, air and ecosystem quality.

First of all, for a city to be sustainable it needs to circumscribe the three main pillars of sustainability: Environmental, Economic and Social sustainability. Ultimately, the key goal of any sustainable city should be to provide inmates and workers with the highest quality of life together with the lowest environmental footmark.

An inter-connected network of green open spaces that provide a range of ecosystem services — from clean air and water to wildlife habitat and carbon sinks.  In either definition, green infrastructure is about bringing together “natural and built environments” and using the “landscape as infrastructure”.

Green infrastructure occurs at all scales. It is most often combine with storm water authority systems, which are smart and cost-effective. However, green infrastructure is really a larger perception and is closely identifying with many other things. Green infrastructure also serves to provide an ecological framework for social, economic and environmental health of the surroundings.

Nature can be used to provide important services for affinity by protecting them against flooding or enormous heat, or helping to improve air, soil and water quality. When nature is hold by people and used as an infrastructural system it is called “green infrastructure”.
