Welcome to our capital Berlin, where the unification of East and West took place 30 years ago and became an unforgettable part of this city’s identity.

Have German Orthopaedic and Trauma surgeons succeeded their unification? Our answer is a resounding YES! The unification has been completed and maintained the diversity of our multifaceted field.

As orthopaedic and trauma surgeons we have the privilege of treating our patients from infancy to an advanced age, from conservative therapy to 3D-supported surgery in Hybrid-ORs, from simple injury to polytrauma.

It is this diversity and appeal of our field that we will explore in depth during the largest conference of orthopaedics and trauma surgery in Europe.

Our colourful guest nation India looks back on a long-standing heritage of traditional medical methods. Hosting India allows us to transport our contents and messages to more than 1.2 billion people, as we ourselves can surely learn from the experiences of the most populous democracy on Earth through collegial and intercultural exchange.

Through the involvement of further connections grown over many years, the DKOU is a meeting place for the international opinion leaders of our field.

The industry exhibition will present the latest innovations in orthopaedics and trauma. Here in Berlin, Germany will demonstrate itself as the innovation location in the entire medical field.

In addition to the scientific exchange the conference and Berlin offer plenty of possibilities for personal interactions, networking, shopping and sightseeing.
