Call for Papers

1st International Workshop on Blockchain in IoT

as part of the program of the IEEE International Conference on Global Communications (GLOBECOM 2018) Abu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesDecember 09, 2018 https://sites.google.com/site/...

Aims and Scope

Billions of smart devices will be available in digital world due the advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT). However, it also would create serious security, privacy, and connectivity service provisioning and data storage challenges. The current centralized architecture models in IoT systems will struggle to scale up to meet the demands of future IoT systems.  To solve these issues, the decentralized and consensus-driven Blockchain and the combination of cryptographic processes behind it can offer an intriguing alternative.      This workshop open a forum to present the recent research work related to blockchain based applications in all types of IoT domains, e.g. smart home, smart cities, smart grid, e-health, logistics etc. Moreover, research on other aspects inherently present in blockchain based systems, like smart contracts, threat and attack models, and incentive mechanisms are also invited in the workshop.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
  • Blockchain based identity management and access control systems
  • Applications of blockchain in IoT
  • Smart home and blockchain
  • Smart cities and blockchain
  • Smart grid and blockchain
  • E-health and blockchain
  • Smart contracts for IoT
  • Infrastructure for IoT blockchain applications
