About ELTIS 10th National Conference

The English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis (ELTIS) is happy to invite you to participate in its 10th National Conference to be held in February 2020. After successfully conducting nine National Conferences, this year we have decided to focus on Language Teaching Materials: Development, Utilisation and Evaluation. The aim of this conference is to take a closer look at the choice of Materials, Production and Application of Language Teaching Materials and their Outcomes.

Topics

2. materials for different age groups to make teaching-learning a fun experience, 1. using authentic and other resources to produce relevant materials, 3. using limited resources innovatively for effective language acquisition, 4. student-centred grammar teaching materials, 5. materials creation: a collaborative effort between teachers and learners, 6. journey from reading to writing: developing materials to enhance reading and writing skills, 7. using fables, folktales and folklore to stimulate language learning, 8. the world at your fingertips: exploring the contribution of ict in language teaching materials, 9. challenging the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach and identifying language learning materials suitable for different levels, 10. soft skills: developing teaching materials to connect campus with corporate (with special reference to engineering colleges and b-schools), 11. getting it right: using/developing materials to analyse and rectify common errors., 12. the need of evaluating teacher-made materials for language acquisition.

Call for Papers

  • For Abstracts: Date to receive abstracts not exceeding 300 words: Sunday, December 22, 2019. Abstracts should be submitted as a word attachment with Subject line ‘Abstract for 2020 conference’. Please email it as a new email and not as a trailing email.
  • Acceptance of the abstracts: Thursday, December 26, 2019.
  • Final Papers: Last date to send complete final papers (soft copy) not exceeding 3000 words: Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
  • For Final Papers, please add the subject line as ‘Complete Paper-2020’.
