The biennial AsBIC Conference is an important event for the bioinorganic chemistry community and will provide an excellent platform for researchers, particularly those from the Asia-Pacific region, to discuss important questions in the field and chart future directions. This conference is in its 9th edition and builds upon the strong tradition of bioinorganic chemistry research in the Asia and Oceania regions. Previous AsBIC conferences have been held in Auckland, New Zealand (2016), Gold Coast, Australia (2014), Hong Kong (2012), Kaohsiung, Taiwan (2010), Jeju Island, Korea (2008), Nanjing, China (2006), Goa, India (2004), and Okazaki, Japan (2002).
Topics include (but are not limited to):
1) Bioinspired Catalysis and Coordination Chemistry
2) Bioorganometallics
3) Computational Bioinorganic Chemistry
4) Molecular Sensing and Elemental Imaging
5) Metal Homeostasis, Toxicity and Metallomics
