Call for Papers

The Conference will mark the 59th Annual Conference of Metallurgists.  The conference is the premier event in Canada for metallurgists and material engineers to network, learn and discuss new technologies.  Our theme Emerging Technologies in Materials and Metallurgical Industries speaks to the professional learning opportunities and audience that will be present in Toronto.

Technologies that were non-existent or immature a decade ago, are being developed/commercialized currently, and are expected to be fully adopted in a decade.  Examples as following: Sustainable Energy Practices in Metal Processing, Development and Implementation of Novel Extraction Technologies, Best Safe Practices and Catastrophic Risk identification and Mitigation, Processing of Strategic Materials, Additive manufacturing, Digitization (Industry 4.0) and more!

The technical program of COM will include the following symposia:

Special: Advances in Materials Manufacturing IV- Dr. Jason Lo Memorial symposiumLight Metals for the Transportation Industry

Special: Rodney Jones Honorary Symposium on Chromite Processing

Manufacturing Involving Rapid Solidification

Corrosion and Degradation

Accelerated Material Design (ICME) in Structural and Energy Materials

Towards Sustainable Energy Practices in Metal Processing

Third Novennial Symposium on New Technology Implementation
