About Reserve and Resilience

There is increasing interest in the concepts of reserve and resilience with regards to age- and disease-related cognitive decline. This workshop begins the process of bringing together a large number of researchers from basic animal through human studies in order to reach a consensus on operational definitions and research frameworks for terms encapsulating these individual differences, such as resilience, cognitive reserve, brain reserve, brain maintenance, and compensation.

Call for Papers

The Workshop has no Call for Papers. 

  1. ANNUAL WORKSHOP – A novel approach to workshop where researchers from diverse backgrounds  will have the opportunity to brainstorm the concepts of reserve and resilience with each other and bring about a consensus driven operational definitions.
  2. CREATE FOCUSED WORK GROUPS – Establishing work groups that will develop strategies to address specific plan across scientific disciplines.
  3. IDENTIFY AND FUND PILOT GRANTS – Establishing committees to identify promising novel research themes and fund pilot studies.
  4. DEVELOP DATA AND INFORMATION SHARING PLATFORMS – Creating database of datasets relevant to the definitions for collaborative analytical research.
